The Seton Hall Prep Model UN Club recently had a great showing at SHUMUN XXV, hosted by Seton Hall University. Students in the club participating at the conference had the opportunity to collaborate with delegates from schools across the Tri-State area to address real-world problems. Seton Hall Prep delegates especially excelled, and the club won the award for “Best Small Delegation” at the conference. Additionally, many members received individual awards, ranging from “Best Position Paper” to “Best Delegate.”
The Prep’s winners from the event include Anthony Tannous ‘25 (Best Position Paper), Sanket Upadhyay ‘26 (Honorable Mention Position Paper), Kamau Cumberbatch ’25 (Verbal commendation for his committee), and of course SHP overall (Outstanding Small Delegation). Jayson McArdle ’25, who attended his first in-person conference, said, “It was a great honor to represent the Prep. I had a ton of fun and made some new friends.” This conference was the club’s first in-person conference after attending a virtual conference earlier in late Fall. The club plans to host an intramural conference in the Spring for SHP students. No experience is needed to attend. More details to follow. Any interested student should contact Rohan Pai ’25 at [email protected].
